Wethrift is built to need almost nothing about you. We make money when stores pay us commissions — not from data about you — so we collect as little as possible. This page lists everything, honestly.What we don't do
- No accounts — you can't sign up, and we never ask who you are
- We don't collect names or email addresses
- We don't build profiles of you or track you across other websites
- We don't sell or share data about you with advertisers
- Savvy, our browser extension, has no login and doesn't read your browsing history or purchases
What we do collect, and why
Coupon feedback. When you mark a code as working or not, we log the vote along with your IP address and country to help keep feedback accurate and prevent abuse. Deleted automatically after six months.Technical logs. Like every website, our servers keep short-lived logs (IP address, browser type) for security and to keep the site running.Analytics. We measure pages visited and aggregate usage so we know what's working. Analytics is provided by third-party tools, and any cookies or identifiers involved are set and managed by those tools, not by Wethrift.Affiliate links
When you visit a store through Wethrift, affiliate networks may set cookies on the store's site so the sale can be attributed to us. These cookies are set and controlled by the networks, not by Wethrift — we never see them. More on our how we make money page.The Savvy extension
Savvy checks the site you're visiting against our store database so it can offer codes where we have them. When you use it, it sends us anonymous usage events — the store, the page address, which codes were tried and whether they worked — tied to a random session ID that resets after an hour. Savvy never knows who you are.Questions
